The Seville Half Marathon 2025, which sold out its 17,000 available bibs four months before its celebration, is the first major sporting event of the year in Andalusia and will celebrate its 30 years of history breaking its participation records and also with the highest number of women and international runners among the registrants. In addition, it will feature the strongest elite start list in its history led by Spaniards Adel Mechaal, who debuts in the race, and Ester Navarrete and Mertixell Soler in the women’s category. There will be more than 40 elite athletes fighting for the victory.
The Seville Half Marathon will experience a record-breaking day on January 26 after confirming the highest participation in its history with 17,000 registered recreational runners, with almost 30% women on the start line and more than 3,000 international participants. It is the flattest half marathon in Europe with only 5 meters of elevation difference between its lowest and highest points, making it a very favorable course for achieving great times in the distance.
