Once the runner collects the runner’s bag with their commemorative gift garment and leaves the Runner’s Fair, the organisation will understand that the size has been accepted and no exchange will be made.

The amount of this guarantee is non-refundable.

If the cancellation guarantee has not been purchased, it will also be possible to request a refund of the registration fee with a 50% penalty. The deadline to request the refund will be 1 November 2026. After this date, no refund will be made.

The period to request the trophy will be from 14 December 2026 to 14 January 2027.

Once this period has elapsed without an express request, it will be understood that the athlete waives the prize and may not make any subsequent claim.

ARTICLE 7. Classifications.

In order to appear in the classifications, it is necessary to have passed through all controls established by the Organisation and judges.

The classifications are provisional until the judges declare them final.

Accumulation of trophies

Prizes from the general classification are not cumulative with those of the specific category in which the athlete participates.

The Organisation may request accreditation from winners, any data appearing in the registration application that could affect the classification.

The provisional classifications will be published on a board arranged by the Organisation next to the finish area and/or podium, these being the sole and exclusive responsibility of the members of the RFEA Judges Committee. They will also be published later on the official website.

Claims affecting classification positions with prize allocation must be submitted in writing to the Referee Judge within a maximum period of 30 minutes from the publication of the classifications, and the Judge will deal with the claim.

Other claims must be sent in writing to the Organisation’s email info@mediomaratondesevilla.es, addressed to the Referee Judge, before the Wednesday following the holding of the race.

The Organisation will communicate the decisions of the Referee Judge within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the classifications will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that time.

ARTICLE 8. Placement of the race bib.

Participants must wear the race bib visibly on the chest, without retouching, manipulating or folding it.

These race bibs must be used as they were delivered, without cuts, folds or any concealment. They may be perforated to help air circulation, but the perforations must not be made in the characters or numbers appearing on them.

Race bibs have a disposable chip incorporated, so they may not be folded or manipulated or altered in any way, including their advertising. Race time will only be recorded if the race bib-chip is correctly placed on the front of the trunk or chest.

No participating person will be allowed to form part of the race if they do not bear the appropriate race bib and identification.

ARTICLE 9. Withholding of prizes and disqualifications.

The Organisation may withhold the delivery of prizes, trophies and gifts in the event that claims exist and it is necessary to decide upon them.

  • Being overtaken by the race closing vehicles.
  • Not passing through the passage controls located on the course.

  • Refusing to undergo doping control.
  • Engaging in unsporting behaviour.
  • Starting in a corral different from the one assigned in the registration.
  • Any other punishable behaviour included in the competent federation regulations.

The race medical service and referee judges are authorised to remove from the race any athlete who shows poor physical condition.

Disqualified athletes will not have access to trophies or gifts.

The Organisation reserves the right to veto participation in subsequent editions by those who are disqualified.

ARTICLE 10. Gifts and promotions.

All persons participating in the race will be given a commemorative garment and a runner’s bag.

Participants in the race will have access to the discounts and promotions that the Organisation may agree with sponsors. Such agreements, if any, will be published on the race website.

To access the gifts, it will be necessary to present the race bib and identify oneself by National Identity Document or similar document.

The commemorative bag and garment will be available within the periods scheduled for race bib collection and upon presentation of it.

The Organisation cannot guarantee size availability because production of the commemorative garments is carried out before all registrations are completed. Delivery will be made respecting what is indicated on the registration receipt while stocks last, at which point it may be replaced by another size. The garment delivered may not be exchanged once accepted by the runner and no size changes will be accepted with respect to those indicated in the registration.

The finisher medal will be given to runners who complete the race. The medal engraving service is voluntary and may be contracted during registration. The management of medal engraving will be carried out by the company determined by the organisation and will be responsible for the service at the finish.

ARTICLE 11. Signage and refreshment station.

The route will be signposted and will have auxiliary staff indicating turns or changes of direction.

Each kilometre point will be signposted.

There will be liquid refreshment stations at kilometre points 5, 10, 15, 18.5 and Finish.

The start line will be organised by areas delimited according to the marks that runners expect to achieve. In order to access the first corrals, it will be necessary to accredit the mark achieved in races of similar characteristics.

ARTICLE 12. Medical services.

The race will have medical services consisting of an emergency medical team, mobile ICU and various advanced coordination teams in the number determined by the regulations. They will be located at the start line, at kilometre points 5, 10, 15, 18.5 and Finish. Additionally and for greater safety, there will be a medical service at the back of the race.

The Organisation recommends that all participating athletes undergo a medical examination prior to the holding of the race; every participant accepts the risk arising from the sporting activity of athletics.

Any athlete with health problems is obliged to notify the Organisation beforehand and in writing, mark their race bib with a red cross and state on it their name, address, telephone number and health problem they suffer from.

  • Liquid refreshment at km 5, 10 (isotonic), 15, 18.5 and at Finish.
  • Solid refreshment at the finish line.
  • Vehicle to collect runners who wish to abandon the race and which will circulate at the back of the race at a speed of 8 minutes per kilometre.
  • One baggage drop per access point and toilets, the Organisation not being responsible for valuables deposited in the baggage drop.
  • It is necessary that, in order to use the baggage drop and access the corrals, runners must
  • Organisation staff of the baggage drop service may request, for security reasons and as a condition of admission, that bags be opened before deposit in order to inspect the luggage, and it must be handed over with the identification provided by the Organisation showing the race bib number. The Organisation also reserves the right of admission to guarantee security and good order at baggage drop access points.

No luggage will be returned without presentation of the corresponding race bib.

Garments or objects that are not bagged will not be accepted.

A lost property department will be established and will operate until the facilities close. Recovered objects will be available at the organiser’s headquarters until one week after the race.

Timing based on the chip system.

ARTICLE 14. Vehicles.

The only vehicles authorised to follow the race are those designated by the Organisation, which will be duly identified.

It is strictly forbidden to follow or accompany runners by motorcycle, bicycle, skates or other vehicle in order to prevent any accident.

The use of any wheeled apparatus or device during the race is not permitted, except for the chairs of disabled wheelchair athletes, which must be accepted by the RFEA and admitted by the Organisation. The latter must wear a helmet mandatorily.

Participation accompanied by minors or animals is not permitted.

Sweep car. The Organisation will provide a sweep car to be used by runners who do not wish to continue the race or who are forced to withdraw.

ARTICLE 15. Control and order of the race.

Control and order of the race will be entrusted to law enforcement officers and authorised Organisation staff, who will act under their instructions. Runners will be obliged to comply with the rules of these regulations and with the instructions adopted for safety reasons.

When a runner is not in technical or health condition to maintain the scheduled time, they will be overtaken by the closing vehicle and must abandon the race using the vehicles provided for this purpose. If they remain on the roads of the course, they must comply with the rules and signs thereof and will be considered another road user.

The organisation will distribute access points and start corrals to guarantee participant safety.

No companion will be allowed access either during the time established for runner access or during the course of the race.

Once the maximum time to complete the race has been reached, the finish line will be closed, applying the same criterion as in the previous point.

The maximum time established for completing the race is 3 hours; therefore, the competent authorities may request runners who exceed an average race pace of 8.5 minutes per kilometre to leave the course. From that moment, any runner who remains on the course will do so under their strict responsibility and may be invited by the local police to leave it.

ARTICLE 16. Damage and liability.

The Organisation has civil liability insurance to cover any liability for the effects, consequences or responsibilities arising from damages, both material and personal, that participants may cause due to the race, to themselves, to other persons and even in the event that third parties cause damages to the participant, volunteer or Organisation staff.

Likewise, the athlete declares that they are in optimal physical condition to take part in this race and does so under their own responsibility, exempting the Organisation from any harm that their participation in the race may cause them. Registering for this race implies full acceptance of these rules.

ARTICLE 17. Suspension of the race.

The race will not be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, unless there is a risk to the physical integrity of the participants or a civil emergency situation occurs. In this case, the Organisation will act at the request of the competent authority and sports judges.

The Organisation reserves the right to modify the course, both in its route and total distance, schedule, as well as the possibility of postponing or suspending the event for safety reasons or force majeure, without this constituting grounds for claims for compensation or damages by registered participants.

ARTICLE 18. Warning and communication of medical risks.

Any runner with medical problems (allergies, special care, etc.) must wear on the race bib a label or mark with a red cross in a visible place during the race, and must also state on the back of the race bib their name, address, contact telephone number and specific health problem.

For safety reasons, the runner will be obliged to communicate in writing and beforehand the medical risk and their race bib number to the Organisation before the race takes place.

The participant must monitor their health status continuously (including taking their temperature and monitoring any symptoms) from 14 days before. Prior health checks before travel and competition are recommended for all registered athletes and Organisation staff in order to guarantee the identification of persons with possible additional risks.

If required by health authorities, proof of health status or vaccination may be requested. Likewise, prior medical tests may be established before participation as part of COVID-19 control protocols.

ARTICLE 19. Waiver.

All participants, by taking the start, accept and sign the Liability Waiver, assuming these Regulations and the Rules of the RFEA, IAAF and FAA. In case of doubt, the criterion of the Judges, Race Management and the Organisation will prevail.

ARTICLE 20. Use of information.

All participants, by registering, accept the publication of their basic data (name, surnames, race bib, club, sex and category) for the management of race bibs and race classification, and may appear in media and websites, as well as in official race photographs and videos. The data may be used by the Main Sponsor.

ARTICLE 21. Safety regulations and cancellation policy associated with Covid-19.

If the health situation caused by Covid-19 so requires, the measures considered appropriate will be adopted, always under the protection of the competent authorities, to guarantee as far as possible the safety of participants as well as that of their companions, public, sponsors and all staff comprising the organisation of the race (area managers, volunteers, suppliers, judges, media...).

The Start, Finish, refreshment point, service and public area devices may be subject to restrictions or modifications according to the COVID-19 protocol determined by the authorities at the time of the race.

Among the measures to be taken could be the reduction of the number of participants to a number considered safe for the holding of the race. In such case, the right to participate would be associated with the order of registration, with preference given to the first registered runners.

If such health situation required the race to be suspended or the number of participating athletes to be reduced, affected runners would have different options: the option to postpone their registration to the next edition in which the race is held or to request a refund of 80% of their registration to offset the refund and organisation expenses incurred.
