Quirónsalud to safeguard runners' health at the 2026 Seville Half Marathon
- 2026-01-13
Next January 25 a new edition of the Seville Half Marathon will take place, which will once again have the support of Quirónsalud as Medical Health Provider and which for the first time will exceed 20,000 registered runners, 3,000 more than in the previous edition.
One of the main attractions of the Sevillian half marathon, which brings runners from all over the world, is that its 21.097‑meter course is completely flat, with only five meters of elevation difference between its lowest and highest points, making it the flattest half marathon in Europe.
As in previous editions, the Seville Half Marathon will have a total of five medicalized points properly marked by Quirónsalud to attend to any eventuality that may arise. In addition, in the weeks prior to the race, professionals from the Quirónsalud Infanta Luisa and Quirónsalud Sagrado Corazón hospitals will offer recommendations to participants to take on such a demanding race with guarantees, as well as practical recommendations to manage their effort and enjoy to the fullest the 21 kilometers of the course.
Likewise, as additional support, a team of eight physiorunners will run the course alongside the participants, offering on‑the‑move assistance to relieve muscle overload and help runners keep going in their challenge, and three fixed points offering runners an on‑course assistance zone, with a physiotherapist and an area set up for stretching.
The support for this event consolidates the Group’s commitment to sports health and, very especially, to running. In recent years, it has also looked after the health of major races such as the Nationale Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana, the Mitja Marató de Barcelona, the Toledo Night Run, the Behobia/San Sebastián or the Total Energies Málaga Half Marathon, among others.
Quirónsalud, committed to sports health
In addition, for a long time it has taken part in multiple sporting events and disciplines since sport is a field that, besides being related to health both in disease prevention and in overall quality of life, reflects a series of values with which it identifies in its way of working: discipline, a spirit of improvement and continuous progress.
